Interfaith Day (Sun), 1951
The legendary designer Paul Rand designed a number of posters for Interfaith Day in New York, an annual celebration of peace, tolerance, and cooperation between different religions. His unusual poster for the 1951 event is a hopeful image of a smiling sun rising over a dark horizon, a fitting and inclusive symbol for the occasion.
