A vibrant red, white and blue design for the establishment of a National Park in Boston, comprised of many of the landmarks of American revolutionary history: the Paul Revere House, the Old State House and Old North Church, the Charlestown Naval Yard and Faneuil Hall and Bunker Hill. Established for the 200th anniversary of the Republic, Rand features a star, with confetti popping around it. Slightly at an angle and holding a torch upward, it seems to evoke both the motion and determination of Paul Revere’s midnight ride and the joyful spirit of runners at the Boston Marathon every year on Patriot’s Day.
